LPI: What schools have shown serious interest in you or may be close to offering?

JB: I’ve had the opportunity to talk with several schools in the past year. As a result of attending college camps and coach visits to our high school, the two schools I have had the most interaction with have been Miami of Ohio and Harvard.

LPI: What should college coaches that recruit you know about you whether it be on or off the field and why should colleges recruit you?

JB: First and foremost, I want college coaches to know that I am a dedicated and hard working person. That holds true in the classroom, as well as on the field. I started playing tackle football in first grade and since that time it has been the sport I truly love playing.

LPI: Do you have any visits set?

JB: During the season, I did a game day visit to Miami. Currently I have no confirmed visits, but I plan to make several trips in the next few months.

LPI: What are you looking for in a program or school to continue your football career at?

JB: I am looking for a school that has great academics and a football program that has strong leadership and a positive environment. To continue my football career, I want to be a part of a family that motivates each other to do better every day on and off the field.

LPI: When did you realize you have what it takes to play football at the collegiate level? Was there a specific game or practice?

JB: I really realized that I had what it takes to play in college when coaches started to visit Metea. I knew because of my love of the game and my desire to keep playing that there would be an opportunity in my future.

LPI: What do you want your major to be in college?

JB: At this point, I am leaning towards a major in business.

LPI: Who are some of your teammates or training partners that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches?

JB:

Austin Frederick (2020): I have played with Austin since we were in second grade. He has great hands and a tall frame, which allows him to make great plays.

Colin Wilcox (2020): He is one the quickest and most powerful running backs I have played with. With his skill, he is one of the hardest running backs to take down.

Amarian Wilborn (2019): I played varsity the past two years with Amarian. Amarian is one of the best at defending pass routes due to his speed and ability to anticipate.
