LPI: What schools have shown serious interest in you or may be close to offering?
JB: Western Illinois, Dayton, Butler, UW Platteville and North Central College have shown interest. I’ve done unofficial visits to Dayton, Western Illinois, UW Platteville, and North Central so far.
LPI: Do you have any visits set?
JB: I don’t have any official visits set at this time but am looking forward to getting out to campuses during the offseason.
LPI: What should college coaches that recruit you know about you whether it be on or off the field?
JB: I want coaches to know that I have an extraordinary work ethic and that I am very coachable. I was a captain of our varsity team and played a strong leadership role on both sides of the football.
LPI: What are you looking for in a program to continue your football career at? Will distance from home play a factor in your choice?
JB: I’m looking for a university that will help me to grow as a person, student, and football player. I want to be a part of a family environment as well as be challenged both in the classroom and on the field.
LPI: Do you play any other sports during the offseason?
JB: Yes, I’ve been a 3 sport athlete my entire career at Neuqua Valley. In addition to football I play basketball and baseball. This keeps me busy and has taught me time management skills, helping me to stay strong in the classroom.
LPI: Who are some of your teammates or training partners that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches?
JB:
Brandt Stare: Class of 2019 WR, is often overlooked because of his size but has the quickest feet and best hands I have ever seen. Brandt works his tail off day in and day out, you don’t want to miss him.
Mark Gronowski: Class of 2020 QB, led our varsity team to playoffs as a junior, was also selected to a senior heavy All-Conference team. Mark is very strong and always keeps his composure no matter the situation.
Patrick Hoffman: Class of 2020 WR, along with Stare, led our receiver core as a returning player. Patrick runs very clean routes and is always able to get himself open no matter the coverage. He was the fastest kid on our team running a 4.58 40 yard dash.
