LPI: What schools have shown serious interest in you or may be close to offering?
NM: Iowa State, Illinois, Cincinnati, and Michigan State have shown the most interest, while other schools like Harvard, Western Michigan, Ball St, and Eastern Michigan have also contacted me.
LPI: Do you have any visits set?
NM: I visited Illinois, Cincinnati, Iowa State, and Michigan State this year. I don’t have any more visits planned in the future.
LPI: What should college coaches that recruit you know about you whether it be on or off the field?
NM: I want coaches to know that I am a hard worker that puts my team first no matter what and goes the extra mile. Off the field I do what is necessary to get better, especially in the offseason in the weight room.
LPI: Was there a game, practice or camp or a specific time you knew you had what it takes to play at the next level? If so, when was that?
NM: I knew I had what it takes when I had the best game of the year at Loyola, when we beat them 28-27 and I caught two huge touchdowns. That game was huge for our team and it helped us realize we can compete with anybody.
LPI: What does it mean to you to be a Bronco?
NM: It means everything in the world because Bronco football has a great tradition of success and it’s been great playing for this program these last three years.
LPI: Do you play any other sports during the offseason?
NM: I played basketball in the winter freshman year but I didn’t last year and I’m on the fence about it this year. I stopped playing to lift more in the off season and put some weight on. I’m going to run track in the spring too.
LPI: Who are some of your teammates or training partners that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches?
NM: One player in particular who is under the radar and will have a great senior year next year is WR Paulie Flicek, he has great hands and routes. Deontay Bell has had an amazing season this year at QB, he’s super fast and has great moves along with a good arm. Also Robert Brazziel, he has a cannon and is young being a Sophomore.
