LPI: What schools have shown serious interest in you or may be close to offering?

DC: I have been very fortunate to have great schools academically and athletically recruiting me. The school that have shown the most interest are Harvard, Boston College, Northwestern, Western Michigan, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Rice, Illinois, Columbia and Michigan State.

LPI: Do you have any visits set or have you visited anywhere recently?

DC: I took a game day visit to Illinois several weeks ago and it was fantastic. I have a game day visit scheduled with Western Michigan on November 20th and I am really excited to get up to Kalamazoo.

LPI: What should college coaches that recruit you know about you whether it be on or off the field?

DC: One thing I’d really like to convey to college coaches is that I’m a football player with a high work ethic. I’ve played every single position since first grade, and continue to possess the versatility and toughness to play multiple positions. Next season I plan on going back to my roots and playing some defense as well as continuing to play quarterback.

LPI: What are you looking for in a program to continue your football career at? Will distance from home play a factor in your choice?

DC: I’m looking for a program with great football and academics where I can make an impact on the team. Distance is not an issue for me, I’ll go anywhere to play football!

LPI: What does it mean to you to be a Friar?

DC: To be a Friar means to demand excellence in every area of life, hold yourself to the highest standards of character and integrity, and uphold a longstanding tradition. From the classroom, the field, and life never give less than 100%.

LPI: Do you play any other sports during the offseason?

DC: In past years I’ve always played basketball during the offseason, but this year I’ve decided to focus all on football and getting better for next season. I plan on going out for track in the spring to help with speed training and conditioning.

LPI: Who are some of your teammates or training partners that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches?

DC:

Bryce Legan – Is a guy to keep an eye out for. He has a great work ethic in the classroom and weight room.

Tommy Dvorak – Is another great linebacker. He has very good grades and is a tough outside linebacker with speed. They both made big plays for us all year at linebacker.

Marcus Wright – Had a great year. He is an athletic tight end with the ability to play multiple positions. All three are very hard workers and play at a high level every week.
