LPI: What was it like starting on varsity as a freshman and how do you think that will help you moving forward?
JB: Starting on varsity was a challenge and great experience. I’ve always played up with the older boys so I was prepared for opportunity when it came my way.
LPI: What should college coaches that recruit you know about you whether it be on or off the field?
JB: College coaches should know that I work extremely hard in the classroom and good grades will separate you from the pack. Im also a student of the game, I study film a lot and in the offseason I train very hard.
LPI: What are your individual and team goals for the rest of the season?
JB: The team goals are to win a state title of course and my individual goal is to get better every week and contribute to the state title run.
LPI: Do you have any planned visits coming up? If so, where at and when?
JB: Yes, I am planning on visiting two of my dream schools this summer, The University of Southern California and The University of Florida.
LPI: Who are some of your teammates or training partners that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches?
JB:
Anthony Parell – He’s a good slot receiver.
Jaylen Lomelli – He’s a great quarterback. He stays calm in the pocket and can get out on the run and make something out of nothing.
Kyle Franklin – He is great, a very fast and physical running back.
Xavier Saldana – He is a very good slot receiver. He’s quick and shifty and has great hands.
