LPI: What ultimately made you to choose prep school for the 2018-2019 season and how did you decide on Gulf Coast Prep Academy?

JF: Deciding to go to a prep school is something I have been considering for a long time. I feel that it is the best decision for To to grow as a student athlete and that it can push me in a positive direction. Gulf coast prep was interested in me and said they can help get me to where I need to be. I had a strong connection with the coach which also helped me choose that program.

LPI: What have you been doing to take your game to the next level. Also, do you play any other sports in the offseason or do you play 7on7?

JF: I have recently been training at Acceleration Sports Performance in Naperville to help my speed, strength, and my overall performance on the the game I love. I will also be playing with Midwest boom 7v7 which we will be traveling across the country to compete against the best of the best.

LPI: Do you consider yourself a leader? If so, how do you lead your teammates on and off the field?

JF: I feel I am a leader. I try to to push my teammates in a positive direction with good advice or anything they need help with on or off the field.

LPI: Who on your Glenbard North team has what it takes to play college ball, but are currently being under recruited?

JF: Everybody on the the Midwest BOOM team are great athletes and can play at the next level. It’s great because even at BOOM practice I get to compete against the best guys in the Midwest. From Glenbard North: Jabari Fitzpatrick also decided to take the prep route so he is a DB to watch with great feet and physical attributes. Kobie Jamison is a sophomore(class of 2020) DB who started in our secondary this year. He has the potential to be a great athlete on the field with very good technique. He will definitely be a good leader on Glenbard North’s upcoming season.

Coach’s Corner

Glenbard North Head Coach Ryan Wilkens on Flowers on and off the field

“Was a captain and a two way starter who spent a great deal of time working on the field sharpening up his fundamentals at the defensive back and wide receiver positions.”
