LPI: What are doing this offseason to get ready for the season and take your game to the next level? Were you in any other sports?
TA: This current off season was filled with a lot of competitive events and team camp to get better, bigger, and ready for the season. Our team summer camp is one of the most well run in the state in my opinion, and really gets us ready for real game situations and the physicality of the game. I also attended about five showcases in Illinois and college camps that helped me get reps against great competition all across the country.
LPI: You currently have offers from North Dakota and Dayton. What skill set can you bring to the table for a college football program?
TA: I believe I bring a unique skill set of being able to rush the passer, which is my strong suit, and also be able to read the QB and not rush a play. I also have grown more as a leader this year, and love being the energizer and motivator for any team I’m on.
LPI: Besides the schools that have offered, which schools have shown serious interest in you?
TA: I have received a lot of interest from the Ivy League, mainly Columbia, Harvard, and Princeton, along with Patriot League schools such as Lafayette and Colgate. I also have received some interest from midwest FCS schools such as Drake and Indiana State, along with some interest from schools like Toledo and Ball State.
LPI: Where have you visited most recently and do you have any planned visits set?
TA: I recently visited Columbia University and enjoyed my time there. I don’t have any visits planned yet, but I plan to get out to Columbia again and also try and attend other games from schools that have shown interest.
LPI: Who are some of your teammates or training partners that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches?
TA:
Lucas Segobiano: Lucas is a great player and one of the best athletes I’ve ever seen. He’s able to play both sides of the ball and is really dynamic, aggressive, and a great leader as well. He plays every rep like it’s his last and it’s great to play with someone who loves the game as much as he does. I have no doubt he’ll pick up plenty of offers after another great season.
Dylan Keegan: Dylan is one of the toughest players I know, and is always someone I look forward to going against because we push each other and he really cares about the game. Dylan is a great leader and also extremely strong and aggressive in his play, also being extremely invested in the game and the team. Dylan has the work ethic and size to be extremely effective on the next level.
Mikey Hohensee: Mikey is an extremely hard worker, which is always a motivator for me and the rest of the team. He has a great arm at QB and also elite size to run the ball and be assertive in any way he wants. He’s also always about the team and a great leader as well. He never takes a day off and is a great person as well.
Tyler Nubin: Tyler is a freak athlete and already receiving a lot of well deserved attention. He never backs away from any competition and it’s fun to compete with someone who enjoys the game and works just as hard in practice as on gameday.
Coach’s Corner
St. Charles North Head Coach Rob Pomazak on Adedara on and off the field
“Tobi is an exemplary ambassador for our program. He is a student athlete first and a quiet leader. He owns his process and his hard work had paid off.”
