LPI: What are you going to do to take your game to the next level this offseason? Are you playing 7on7 or are you playing any other sports?

JS: This offseason I’ve really focused on becoming flexible and building lower body strength. During the season those two kept me from playing to my full potential, now I’m trying to eliminate them from holding me back. I’m also playing 7on7 with Midwest Boom and that’s going ok.

LPI: You currently don’t have any offers. What skill set can you bring to the table for a college football program?

JS: I’m a very hard worker, and my work ethic seems to rub off on those around me. I study my opponent thoroughly watching about 6 hours of film a week. I’m very competitive so I’ll bring the best out of my teammates, and I’m a reliable teammate, I’ll do whatever it takes to win.

LPI: Which schools have shown serious interest in you?

JS: NIU, Miami(OH), NDSU, Ball State, Illinois State, Southern Illinois, Buffalo.

LPI: Where have you visited most recently and do you have any planned visits or camps set?

JS: I visited Miami(OH) and Ball State for their junior day at the end of January, I also went to Illinois State in February. I’m going back to ISU for a spring practice sometime soon, I’m also camping with NDSU. Other than that I don’t have anything else set in stone.

LPI: How do you demonstrate leadership or go the extra mile for your teammates?

JS: I demand greatness from all my teammates so when I see them slacking or taking reps off I get on them about it, and I also keep all the younger guys focused in the weight room making sure they stay focused on the task at hand. If anybody needs help I’m always available and I like to create a family atmosphere with my teams so we can gel together better.

LPI: Who are some of your teammates that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches?

JS:

Juilain Bell DB – He’s my best friend and he has definitely gone overlooked, even though he’s short in stature he has that fire in him to never get beat.

Dayne Millard LB – Is a great linebacker, and leader for my team, he’s a guy people seem to follow without much being said.

Raymond Chmielinski WR – Very hard worker and even though he didn’t have the type of season he wanted last year with his injuries, I know he’ll step up to the plate this year.

Cody Krahula QB – Missed last season with a blown out knee, but he’s ready to come back and break out this year, WATCH OUT!!!

Jamal Fomby WR – Great young receiver with a ton of potential, he has prototypical size as a receiver, and speed to get downfield, he’ll be a well known name soon.

Charles Coleman RB – He’s 6’2″ 215 with burners, he’s going to have a break out season for us, as long as he keeps working hard and learning the game he’ll be a top RB prospect.

John Luke Patterson DB/WR – Another young guy with a ton of potential, he’s a long DB with ball skills that is ready to step up this year.

Noah Shannon DT – Last but certainly not least. Even though he’s not under the radar, he’s still the leader of our team, and I believe he’s the best DT in the state.
