LPI: What are you going to do to take your game to the next level this offseason? Are you playing 7on7 or are you playing any other sports?
LP: During the offseason, I plan to enhance my skills by continuing my workout regimen which includes weight lifting, eating to gain muscle mass, and speed/agility. I’m currently playing with Boom (black) which is a 7on7 team that is ranked number one nationally.
LPI: You do not have any offers as of right now, but I think you definitely have what it takes to succeed at the collegiate level. What skill set can you bring to the table for a college football program?
LP: I have several skills that will be an asset to a college football program. Some of the skills that I have to offer are being a team player, dedication, hard work, positivity, and passion for the game of football. I believe the skills that I possess will not only help me succeed at the collegiate level but in life as well.
LPI: Which schools have shown serious interest in you?
LP: Iowa State, Princeton, Harvard, Dartmouth, Miami of Ohio, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Ball State, Central Michigan, Army, James Madison and John Carroll.
LPI: Where have you visited most recently and do you have any planned visits or college camps set?
LP: The most recent college visits that I had were at Miami of Ohio and University of Central Florida. I have a planned visit with UNLV and University of Toledo. I also have signed up for several college camps this spring and summer.
LPI: On or off the field, how do you demonstrate leadership or go the extra mile for your teammates?
LP: I demonstrate leadership for my teammates by helping with academics for those that need assistance. I also am a part of the national honor society and volunteer for community projects. These leadership skills help show my teammates that we can be great examples for future football players and that giving back is very important.
LPI: Who are some of your teammates that you believe can play at the next level, but have gone overlooked by college coaches? Alanté Brown, Marques Ray, Dominique Reed, Tierre Turner.
LP:
Alanté Brown – Is the starting quarterback on our team. He is an exceptional athlete with great speed. He has a great eye for connecting with the receivers on the team and making quick decisions under pressure.
Marques Ray – He plays wide receiver. He has a great frame for colleges to build on with great hands and awesome athletic ability.
Dominique Reed – He is one of our starting defensive backs. He is a quick foot, hard nose, in your face defender. He has great body control and will do whatever it takes to stop the receiver from obtaining the ball.
Tierre Turner – He plays offensive and defensive lineman. He is one of the best d-line man that I have come across. He is a hardworking, consistent defensive player that utilizes his unique ability to tackle the target.
