LPI: What were the most important things you did this offseason and are now doing in practice so you can improve this season?
WB: I have mostly been working on my foot speed and strength. In practice I am working on perfecting every type of block and knowing every situation. Also, learning new things and trying them in practice.
LPI: You’re sitting on offers from Duke, Indiana, Northwestern and Vanderbilt to name a few. What are your greatest strengths or why should a school offer you?
WB: I think my greatest strengths are my ability to finish blocks as well as my pass blocking. I also think that i listen to coaching points and try to be as coachable as possible.
LPI: Offer or not, which schools have you kept in contact with the most?
WB: I’ve kept up with Northwestern Penn State, Virginia, Indiana, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Duke, Vanderbilt and Mizzou.
LPI: Where have you visited most recently and do you have any visits coming up?
WB: I recently visited Northwestern and I plan on visiting Notre Dame, Indiana, Mizzou, Penn State and Vanderbilt.
LPI: What’re your personal and team goals for this season?
WB: Personally, my goal is to dominate and take over the game. As for the team, it’s to make a deep run into the playoffs and win state.
LPI: Who are some of your teammates that you believe have a chance to play at the next level?
WB:
Danny Berg: Kid is a sleeper athlete that listen well, squats 500+ lbs, has great feet and puts kids on the turf. Easily as the ability to play D1. At 6’5” plug him in at guard or tackle and he would accel at Ivy League or high academic schools with his 4.0+ GPA.
Cade Keenan: Cade plays very hard and is a tough block for me everyday in practice. He has a great long arm move and can run well.
